as a teenager and a Barca supporter, I used to adore Giuly .. he had slowly transformed into a class goal-scoring and assist-providing right winger... i loved him so much that i truly resented an 18yr old who started to slowly but surely take over his starting spot on the RW for Barca .. some of you might recognize that youngster's name .. MESSI .. but that young fella won me over as he has done with much of the world since .. and now he has become the greatest ever .. but for a while at least at that time, i felt Giuly was better .. and that thought would stay with me forever .. Giuly was such a class act that it took the GOAT to take over his spot in one of the greatest Barca teams ever .. now .. what better accolade would you need

Very underrated in the history of Barca and French football. Barca won a champions league with him as winger. Also, remember before he came to Barca he led a small Monaco team to a champions league final. Only Messi coming into the first team meant he lost his spot.

Lo que más recuerdo de Giuly fue aquel golazo que le metió al madrid de taco en champions (con el Monaco) ahí dije ojalá llegara ese jugador al barca y terminó llegando

Jugadorazo que hizo un Barça de leyendas. Para mi fue una pieza clave y fue muy infravalorado por la afición blaugrana por aquél entonces.

In an interview Giuly said that Rijkaard ever gave him one single instruction: hug the line and get forgotten until Ronaldinho move to the center, then cut inside and try to beat the offside trap

Fue muy tonto que reymond domenech no lo convocara pues creo que ubiese sido muy importante su presencia ya que ese año fue campeón el barcelona en la champions del 2006

Domenech not only was an idiot but also a coward. He suspected Giuly to have some relationship with his girlfriend - which was wrong, yet he promised Giuly to select him but he didn’t eventually.

Messi happened lol. Didn't want to be a bench player so moved to Roma. Hated the Serie A and moved to PSG a couple of years before they were bought. He was old by then.
